mission statement

AIM: alleviating pain; improving strength and mobility; maintaining freedom and ease of movement

ian traynar has a passion for effective natural healthcare delivered at an affordable price

down-to-earth ethos

He is 'evidenced based' in his approach. This means that the services he delivers has a measurable and proven track record of success, and although as osteopaths we do not always have double-blind research based evidence to support the work yet, there will be an indisputable amount of anecdotal evidence to confirm its efficacy.

Ian will not make claims that cannot be clearly substantiated. And he will not speak in strange medical or odd 'alternative-therapy' language. Ask him the, "why & how does this work" question, and he will give you a

no-nonsense, straight-forward answer!

He has a strong emphasis on health re-education and encourages clients to take a high level of responsibility for their health and well being.

You will be offered an initial consultation at which a clear treatment plan will be agreed. This will include a suggestion as to how many visits you might require so that you can clearly budget.

He also believes strongly in preventative health. To this end some clients will be encouraged to have three, six or twelve month check ups, to prevent symptoms reoccuring

To sum up, Ian aims to provide affordable, great quality healthcare, teaching clients to deepen their responsibility towards their own health.

philosophy of health

'I believe in the concept of 'well-madeness', ie that humans are beautifully well-made and designed, that although the systems are open to disease and dysfunction, we have a built in self-healing mechanism.

'It is this self-healing mechanism that I believe as natural healthcare practitioners we can interact and co-operate with, and so greatly assist at all levels - including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.'
